A few questions for a RiP newbie

I want to buy tickets because I want to try some new festival but I find it frustrating because I don't know German and everything is in German.

How much actually are they? 180 euros? And what kind of camping do you get and what do you have there and what you don't, because I see some rock n' roll camping too

Also, how much will this prices be on and how much will they go up?

Hi Nicklord,

the price for a ticket is 170€ at the moment, including 10€ trash deposit. The ticket price will probably go up to around 200€ in the next months.
Also included in this price is the normal camping for 4 days.
There was a special camping area in the last years called "Centerstage Camping" where you could camp right next to the main stage for an extra charge of ~100€, but tickets for this camping area are not available yet.

I understand your frustration, til now it never occured to me that the official website isn't available in English.
Right now tickets are 170€, but the price will be raised as more bands are announced (most probably to 180€first and 190€ as the final price).
Included in the ticket price are 10€ of garbage deposit.
With your ticket/wristband you also hvae admission to the general camping site.
There will be portable toilets all over the camp ground, but if you prefer an actual toilet or want to take a shower, you can find these on the Große Straße. The use of the portable toilets is free, using an actual toilet costs 0,50€ and taking a shower costs 2,50€.
You have the option to register for Green Camping, it's a seperate camp site with some special rules (basically no loud music etc. is allowed at night and you'll have to keep your camping ground clean) or buy an extra Centerstage Camping Ticket.
The Centerstage camping ground is very close to the mainstage (Zeppelinstage).
I don't know too much about Centerstage Camping , but maybe someone else can give you more information about it.

And one more thing: When you mention "Rock'n'Roll Camping", it's Rock am Ring you're talking about, so you most probably visited www.rock-am-ring.com looking for information. If you are interested in Rock im Park (Rock am Ring's partner festival, that takes part at the same dates and with the same acts, but at a different venue), you'll find the website here: www.rock-im-park.com. Now I'm having problems with paying for a ticket. I'm from Serbia, I have intesa bank internet visa card. I have 371 euros on it (checked 1290 times ) and I want to buy 2 tickets but I can't. Card is always declined. I used it last time a month ago to buy tickets for Muse in Vienna and I used it for Sziget last year and a lot more but it was never declined before. I putted address in Vienna, that's my friend's house cause shipping to Serbia is 35 euros. Can that be a problem or is it something else? On eventim.de I can't find a mail address to ask that only telephone number but just calling will be like one extra ticket haha

Hi,
Great thread. Thanks for posting. I have some questions regarding the camping types:
1) how is Zeppelin stage camping different than the General camping? is the price difference only due to the proximity to the stage ?
2) Am I understanding it correctly that If you have a general camping ticket, you can you choose (by 15.04.2016) the camping area? In that case, can I choose between the RuheCamping and Green camping? (or register for Green Camping and be sure to get a spot in? :) )

1) In addition to its proximity to the main stage there is also free sanitary facilities, and a nearby nearby parking lot.
2) Yes, that's correct. With a General Camping ticket you can choose where you want to set up your tent; except for the Green Camping area. You have to registert to get a place there.

...but without guarantee for a spot. In case you are too late or have a way to large tent, it's possible you wont find a place. That's the reason for registration for Green Camp without additional fees.

1) I'll be travelling by plane&train, so the parking perk does not add to the experience. as I understood, there would be porta-toilets in the general camping area, too. As well as water faucets and showers (2.50 eur). If the only thing Center Stage camping offers is stage proximity and free showers, I guess the green camping would be a better, since it would provide a more tranquil environment.
Or is the Center stage camping better, with superior facilities?

I know the whole festival experience can be felt only by camping, but since the city is so close, has anyone ever tried to get accommodation in the city and only buy an entrance ticket? (as far as I can see, all tickets have camping included).

Yeah, several times. Actually there are 4 Hotels really nearby, but you pay the proximity to the Festival if you're booking that late in the year. Nevertheless: For me there is nothing better than a hot shower and a confy bed after a full day at a Festival.. I'm getting old..

Haha... I know what you mean. And you do make a good point with higher accommodation rates during the festival. But nevertheless, since tickets without camping are not available for sale, I think I'll choose and enjoy camping. Now all I have to decide is which option and if it's worth paying the extra 100 EUR.
