Limp Bizkit - neues Label und Alben in Planung

Ich denke für alles zukünftige NACH Gold Cobra ist ein neuer Thread angebracht.

Seit dem Release von Gold Cobra hat sich einiges getan. Im Dezember des vergangenen Jahres wurde die Trennung von Limp Bizkit und Interscope Records / Universal offiziell.

Nun wurde ein neues Label gefunden: Cash Money Records. Bekannt ist der Verleger eigentlich nur durch Lil Wayne...jedoch haben sich die Gründer des Labels entschlossen, nun neue Musikrichtungen und mehr Künstler unter Vertrag zu nehmen, diesen jedoch völlig ihre künstlerische Freiheit zu lassen. Dies wurde ja in der Vergangenheit von Fred Durst gegenüber Interscope kritisiert.

Jedenfalls überschlagen sich jetzt die Meldungen. So soll Birdman, ein Mitgründer des Labels bereits ausgeplaudert haben, das es kommende Woche eine große Pressemeldung geben soll mit den Plänen für 2012 sowie einer Art "Promotion-Single". Ja und da Lil Wayne bereits seit längerer Zeit dort unter Vertrag ist, gilt es als wahrscheinlich das diese Single von Limp Bizkit der aufgenommene Track "Ready To Go" sein wird.

Klingt zumindest glaubwürdiger als jede FD-Meldung mit 5x soon dahinter, oder?

Ein Statement von Fred Durst...Wenn das ein A prilscherz ist, sollte wohl eher mal Fred in die Therapie da er mit Themen wie Drogenkonsum und Problemen der Bandmitglieder Sachen erfindet...

I can honestly say that the spirit of Limp Bizkit is stronger than ever. Not only is the new music being made exciting and polarizing, our focus and determination is at an all time high. I feel that we have barely scratched the surface of reaching our full potential. At the same time, unfortunately, an ongoing internal struggle has become more than an obstacle in our band and more destructive than we can handle, anymore. We have nothing bad, at all, to say about John and Lethal. They are both incredible people, but they are deeply troubled in ways that affect the rest of us in the band in extremely negative ways. It truly saddens us all that it has come to this. Obviously, we’ve been though a lot together over the years and watching them struggle with their addictions and problems has been difficult, to say the least. Granted we all have our problems, but watching them destroy their lives and abuse others has not only become a liability, but a threat we cannot enable any longer. I have finally come to understand that their destructive actions and abusive words stem from issues and problems beyond their control. None of us are perfect by any means, but we feel they really need help apart from Limp Bizkit. I sincerely hope they both get the help and treatment that they need to be well and happy again. I wish them nothing but the best and will always be supportive and open to new beginnings, MOST IMPORTANTLY their return to Limp Bizkit. We hope they look back at this moment and realize, once and for all, that all of us are their biggest fans and we are here to
support their recovery, no matter what. All we can hope and ask for from fans and outsiders is to be understanding and unconditionally supportive during such a trying time because this is sensitive for us all. Sincerely.

DJ Lethal hat jetzt auf Facebook sein "Member of Limp Bizkit" rausgelöscht, jetzt nur noch "DJ"...desweiteren hat Fred auf der Facebook-Seite von Limp Bizkit das Gruppenfoto als Titelbild gelöscht und durch ein Bild von Wes ersetzt.

Drogenprobleme haben schon viele Bands (vorübergehend) kaputt gemacht. Aber man kennt die Jungs nicht und steckt daher nicht drin.

Hoffentlich kommen sie wieder auf einen Nenner.

LIMP BIZKIT-Plattendreher DJ Lethal hat per Twitter verkündet, dass er und Schlagzeuger John Otto demnächst vielleicht aus der Band gekickt werden. "Fred Durst hat Pläne für eine neue Version von LIMP BIZKIT, die mich und John Otto ausschließt. Anscheinend hat Fred ein Problem mit unserem Lebensstil, der Feiern und Spaß beinhaltet," twitterte Lethal kürzlich.

LIMP BIZKIT-Gitarrist Wes Borland kommentierte die heikle Situation nun folgendermaßen: „Wir geben wirklich unser Bestes um John und Lethal zu helfen, aber die ganze Sache sollte eigentlich intern bleiben“. Weiterhin sagte Borland: „[DJ Lethal] hätte es nicht öffentlich machen sollen und ihr (die Fans) hättet euch nicht über etwas so persönliches und schädliches Gedanken machen müssen. Dadurch dass alles öffentlich gemacht wurde, wurde mehr Schaden verursacht als nötig und jetzt sehen wir uns einer schwierigeren Situation als vorher. Ihr habt nicht die nötigen Informationen und wir können sie euch nicht geben. LIMP BIZKIT ist immer noch eine funktionierende Einheit und wir haben keine Absichten damit aufzuhören forwärts kommen“.
